Seniors also please pick up a copy of your transcript for scholarship purposes from Mrs. Gannon, the guidance secretary, in the guidance Office Monday through Friday 7am-3pm.
All application materials are due before or by 3pm on Friday, March 31, 2017. No late material will be accepted.
The King Philip DECA chapter has returned from our State Career Development Conference with continued and sustainable success at this level of competition. Our chapter has qualified 20 projects that will compete at DECA`s International Development Conference in Anaheim, CA. This international marketing skills competition will take place next month at the Anaheim Convention Center. Our chapter has once again qualified more written projects than any other chapter in MASS-DECA. We are sending over 40% of our membership to the highlight on the DECA calendar. We look forward to the conference with the excitement and enthusiasm.

King Philip Regional High School is offering the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery Exam (ASVAB) to interested juniors and seniors on April 11, 2017 at 2:30. This exam is FREE and can be a useful tool in identifying marketable areas of future employment strengths. Although offered in conjunction with local recruiters, there will be no military contact unless students/family requests such contact.
Interested students must sign-up by March 31st in guidance lobby. If you have any questions, please see or e-mail Mr. Adams.
KP`s annual Talent Show is Wednesday, March 29th! This year the show will be a combination of general talent and lip sync contests. If you are interested in participating in a talent act or lip sync act you can sign up outside of Ms. Dill`s room 133 or through the link in any of the KP StuCo`s social media accounts. Tickets will be sold for $5 and food will be available for purchase. Make you mark your calendars for March 29th at 6:00pm, in the auditorium.
The Aware to Care DECA team will be hosting their 2nd annual American Red Cross Blood Drive on March 24th from 2 to 7p.m. in the high school cafeteria. With blood supply being extrememly low recently, the Aware to Care team is looking for high school students and staff to donate with a parents consent for and 17 year olds without a form. If you have any more questions, please see either Jack Citarell, Jason Florio or Hannah Lackey for more details on signing up or being eligable to donate.
Our school newspaper, the King Philip Metacomet, is holding a short story contest. Submissions should be between 1,000 and 2,000 words, and emailed to KPMetacometnews@gmail.com, as a word document. Submissions are due April 5th. The winner will have their story featured in the paper and receive a $25 gift card to the vendor of their choice. Pieces may be published under a pen name if desired.
If you received a letter qualifying you for the Stanley Koplik Scholarship based on your 10th grade MCAS scores, you must have your applications completed and turned in to Mrs. Nutter in the guidance office before May 1st. please see your assigned guidance counselor with any Koplik Scholarship questions.
The parking lot is at capacity! Therefore it is imperative that everyone parks in their assigned space. If you do NOT have a space assigned, you may NOT park in the school lot.
